The Bowie VFD RS, Inc. does not and never will solicit donations by telephone. We never call and ask you to tape your donation to your door for pick-up. We conduct two major fund-raising events, a door-to-door Photo Fund Drive in the spring and a Mail Fund Drive in the fall. Bowie VFD Partners with Bowie State University

On Wednesday, September 18, BowieVFD kicked off the new Bowie State University Fire/EMS Fellowship Program. In collaboration with the City of Bowie Government, Bowie State University, and the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department , this new fellowship program is available to students of Bowie State University who wish to volunteer in their community. After receiving appropriate training and licensure, members of the program will be able to staff apparatus at our fire station. We are thrilled to have spoken to 70 interested students, over 30 of whom completed and submitted their applications (which is the first step to becoming a member at Bowie VFD)!
